Can’t be fucked anymore. Actually cannot be arsed with all this bollocks; future, follow your dreams, I tell them my dreams they say don’t be daft do something realistic, like what work in your shitey offices and shops, no fucking thanks I’d rather be dead in the gutter than suck on your realistic arsehole, and since I can’t do anything dead in the gutter is my only option.
That’s cause most people who say ‘follow your dreams’ are regurgitating crap from Disney movies, what they really mean is ‘follow a socially approved dream that fits within a very limited scope of success.’ When they say ‘realistic’ they mean ‘comes with an annual salary’. Going into the arts and media is realistic! If it wasn’t there wouldn’t be so many amateur films/post-modernist installations/experimental albums coming out every week. And to be honest, in the current job market nothing is stable. There are just as many unemployed butchers/bakers/candlestick makers as there are artists and musicians.
There’s no easy option, so you might as well do what you love.
